We’re pleased to confirm that today (Wednesday 2 November 2022), at 11:28 (Finnish time), Christine Duffy, President, Carnival Cruise Line proudly took delivery of Carnival Celebration at Meyer Turku in Finland.
The ship will be leaving Turku shortly and heading to Southampton before she repositions to Miami on 6 November 2022.
Talking about the delivery, Bo-Erik Blomqvist, Senior Vice President, said:
“This delivery marks the completion of our current series of newbuilds at Meyer Turku and the subsequent closure of our site office. As such over the next couple of weeks we will say goodbye to a number of valued colleagues, whilst others will relocate to support our ongoing projects.
Whilst each of our deliveries takes a real team effort across Corporate Shipbuilding, I particularly wanted to recognise the members of the Turku site team for their professionalism and ongoing commitment to getting their final delivery over the line.
We have one more delivery to go this year, a particularly challenging one for all those involved, so I know the hard work continues for many, please keep going, we’ll get there together.”
