On Friday 29 July 2022 at 11.35am the Troncone for Queen Anne (6274) departed Castellammare to make her way to Fincantieri in Marghera.
Talking about this key event, Roberto Gonzalez, Building Manager for Marghera said:
“This is an important milestone for the project and I would like to thank all of the site inspectors involved. This took a real team effort from both the Marghera and Monfalcone site teams and wouldn’t have been possible without their support.
“Special thanks to the steel and paint team who frequently travelled to Castellammare to ensure that we received a quality product.”
The Troncone is expected to arrive in Marghera on Monday 8 August, moving to the dry dock at the end of the month with the keel laying ceremony taking place on 8 September.
