We have our first winner for the Corporate Vision Award Program! Huge congratulations go to Jon Izzard, Director of Strategic Sourcing who won the team member of the quarter award for Q1, 2022!

Sharing why Jon was nominated, Andrew Smith, Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing said:

“Jon’s nomination was based on a deal he struck on behalf of Carnival UK. Carnival UK had budgeted and were about to purchase a set of MES rafts from Viking which would act as a pool set while their MES’ were out of service being recommissioned. Jon negotiated and agreed with Viking that they would in fact provide a free of charge set of MES rafts worth Euro 250,000 for this project.

Over Jon’s 20 years of service at Carnival, he could have been nominated for countless awards so it is very satisfying that he has been given this recognition now.”

The person who nominated Jon explained that:

“Jon’s actions have saved the company significant money and allowed the cash to be used elsewhere for the betterment of the company. He always goes out of his way to ensure all stakeholders are included in decision making exercises and ensures all are content with actions undertaken.”

Jon will receive a $500 bonus, an additional day of leave as well as a personalized Teams background, see if you can spot it!
