Britannia recently sailed from Barbados to Southampton and while she did the team onboard were shining bright with ‘5 Sea Days of SHINE’.
The engagement initiative, created by the learning team on board, inspired teams to SHINE in everything they do. Each day brought a new SHINE letter of focus, to highlight key ways for colleagues to drive the 5 pillars of P&O Cruises service promise and deliver extraordinary holiday experiences for our guests.

The teams on board all contributed ideas for how everyone can SHINE, which were then communicated by an ‘ambassador of the day’. Ambassadors included Stuart, HR Manager for Step Out, Harry, Safety Officer for Heroes of Safe and Well, Martin, Captain for Individual, John, 1st Officer for Navigate and Abbie, Entertainment Manager for Energy!
Throughout the week everyone was also included in a daily prize draw. To align with current Covid-19 level 2 restrictions, this was run via a digital tombola. Lots of exciting prizes were won including Citizen watches, a GHD Air Hairdryer, Britannia backpacks and hats, speakers, air pods and cash prizes.
