Today is International Day for Women in Maritime, Today is International Day for Women in Maritime, a significant event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in the maritime industry and promoting gender equality within this traditionally male-dominated field.

We have many women in maritime roles on our ships, however women are still underrepresented across the fleet. As these patterns are seen across the industry, they require a long-term strategy to address them. Alongside our work to attract diverse talent to our ships, initiatives like International Day for Women in Maritime inspire more women to pursue maritime careers, fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment.

Today marks the beginning of Black Inclusion Week Today marks the beginning of Black Inclusion Week for many colleagues ship and shore. Although at Carnival UK we believe that Black Inclusion should be a continuous process and not just a one-off event, this week gives us an opportunity to promote awareness and educate others; it invites all of us, regardless of background, to reflect on our role in creating a future where everyone is valued, celebrated and heard.

As a society, we still have a long way to go in achieving racial equity, with many Black people still experiencing racism, but this week acts as a reminder that it’s everyone’s responsibility to do better and be better, so that everyone can thrive.
This weekend is Easter, one of the most significan This weekend is Easter, one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar where Christians across the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Beyond its religious significance, Easter marks the arrival of spring - a season celebrated for its promise of new beginnings and the resurgence of life. In many traditions, eggs symbolise new life, hence why they are a popular symbol at this time of year.

For everyone who is celebrating this weekend, whether that be through prayer and worship or enjoying Easter Eggs with family and friends, we wish you a very Happy Easter.
Vaisakhi, also spelled Baisakhi, is one of the mos Vaisakhi, also spelled Baisakhi, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated by our colleagues in the Sikh community. It marks the beginning of the harvest season in Punjab, India, and holds both agricultural and spiritual importance.

It’s a time of joy, reflection, and community gathering and reminds us of the importance of compassion, togetherness and respect.

So, for all those celebrating and observing Vaisakhi today, ‘Vaisakhi Diyan Vadhaiyan!’
When Iona arrived into Stavanger earlier this mont When Iona arrived into Stavanger earlier this month, many of her crew made their first visit of the season to it’s Crew Café. Crew members were able to enjoy a free drink and a snack, as well as access to ps5 games and free Wi-Fi, helping them stay connected with family and friends.
