For anyone who’s travelled on board, you’ll know that Shore Experiences are a fantastic way to explore the destinations we visit. When we started to plan for our Return to Service, our number one goal was, and is, to create unforgettable holiday happiness for our Guests once more, and Shore Experiences play a really important part of this goal.
Our Shore Experience team, led by Sam Cole, have been working tirelessly over the past nine months to plan activities and excursions for our guests who’ve booked onto our Profile 1 (UK-UK) cruises. We’re delighted to share that the first shore experiences took place last week as Queen Elizabeth and Britannia called into Liverpool.
On Sunday 29 August, Queen Elizabeth glided into Liverpool with 35% of Guests (410) disembarking to indulge in the wonders of the Merseyside city. Whether it was following in the ‘Footsteps of the Beatles’ or dabbling in some gin making, our guests were able to sample some of Liverpool’s most delectable delights.

Following swiftly behind Queen Elizabeth was Britannia who called into Liverpool on 1 September. 715 Guests (or 42%) booked onto a shore experience, which is the highest number of Guests booked onto a shore experience for a cruise ships call into Liverpool this season. Guests chose from a ‘#LoveLiverpool’ tour exploring all the Instagramable-locations Liverpool offers, to exploring further afield in the charming Roman city of Chester.
These shore experiences mark an important moment in our Return to Service as we’re giving our guests the opportunity to safely explore destinations as part of a ship bubble.
A big thank you to our team on board, Marian Weldon (Shore Experience Manager) Andrew Rushton (Shore Experience Manager), Michael Veevers, Shabhir Shaik and Zubin Joshi.
