Our Culture Essentials in Practice sessions are designed as an opportunity to have open, honest and courageous conversations about how you work together at your best, and where you think there’s room to improve. They will help you to understand our Culture Essentials and behaviours, and how they’ll benefit everyone working at Carnival UK.

If you haven’t had your session yet you’re missing out! Here’s what your colleagues are saying…

The team found the session really interesting and also very rewarding as they had the opportunity to speak up about some concerns they had and were pleased when others were thinking the same thing. As a Leader it was really pleasing to see the team come together and express their concerns and know they could be open and honest without any retaliation and know that we as a business do value and care about them.

As a team we all agreed and committed to be more open and honest with each other but also to have these types of meetings more regular as everyone agreed this was probably the most informative/interactive meeting they have had in a long long time and can not wait to get together again!!! Gareth Reast, Contact Centre Operations

I believe that at the heart of every business is their culture, how we reflect that in our every day, and how we practice and influence those around us to become part of this. Since the Culture Essential sessions, it has changed the way I view our business and how I behave towards my goals, interactions with others and how I practice these every single day.

It’s important to constantly reflect on the 6 culture essentials, how to make them work at CUK to be able to get the best out of them, this is something I have done since I had my session and how I can work these into my busy weeks. It’s also taught me to speak up more, and as quite a introverted person, that speaks volumes.

As humans, we all have a tendency to become comfortable with our ways of working and in general, the way we do things, hold ourselves and behave. That is why having the Culture Essentials there to turn to when we sometimes need them the most is what makes us stand out from the crowd. Even if someone you know isn’t living by them, show them how it’s done and be that someone they can look up to and support. It’s a real eye opener, so if you haven’t been already, get yourself onto one of the remaining sessions, you won’t regret it!’ Katie Peterson, Finance and Legal

Our Culture Essentials in practice session was a really useful opportunity to hear more about the direction CUK wants our culture to head in and to speak open and honestly with colleagues about our experiences and where we felt the key focuses for the Culture Essentials need to be. Elinor Lee, Maritime

“I found the Culture Essentials in Practice session rewarding and a great opportunity for our team to discuss what the Culture Essentials mean to us in the everyday activity of our roles and personal behaviours. The candid commitment statements from our leaders and team created an open and honest environment for sharing our needs for support as we improve ourselves. The highlight was the realisation of the amount of passion and dedication we have for the Cunard brand. Looking forward to future sessions.” Francis Fred, Cunard

All Culture Essentials in Practice sessions must run by 30 June. If you haven’t received an invite to a session, talk to your line manager.
