Who are we?
As many of you will have heard during the April town hall sessions, the Corporate Shipbuilding Services Team is made up of HR, Communications and Finance specialists who collectively work to support you, our people, and are committed to drive for a unified experience in working for Corporate Shipbuilding where possible. Here’s a bit more about what each of us look after:
Pictured left to right below is Melanie (Mel) Salmon, Senior HR Director; Gemma Waterfield , HR Business Partner; Lucy Davis, Senior HR Advisor. Together, they fully support the department in achieving their business goals through both strategic and practical input.

Rachel Hughes, HR Manager (China) is focused on ensuring we have the right people with the right skills and knowledge on the ground in the shipyard in Shanghai as the new builds progress, setting up HR processes and policy to support employees in China.

Lynsey Powell, Communications Manager takes care of all of our internal communications channels including email, The Insider and employee events such as the town halls and the recent team challenges. Lynsey is always keen to share stories across Corporate Shipbuilding (big and small), so if you have something then please get in touch with her.

Xin Austin, Senior Financial Planning Manager looks after Finance and is responsible for ensuring that we meet our financial plan/budget, reforecast where necessary and where possible minimise our spend in light of the cost saving climate.
Across Corporate Shipbuilding, we have a relatively complex employment structure to navigate with different employing entities as well as different local legalisation to consider. These entities include:
- Carnival UK – UK
- CTS GmbH – Germany
- CTS Oy – Finland
- ISMC – China
- Costa – Italy
So what does this actually mean for you?
