On 27 June Britannia sets sail with Guests on board; the first Carnival UK ship to return to service. To mark this moment, we’re creating a video of colleagues, ship and shore, celebrating us being back in business. We’ve already reached out to some colleagues to seek support with this, but we’d like everyone to have the chance to get involved!
We’d love you to record a short, joyful, mobile phone or Zoom video celebrating “We’re back!”. You can shoot solo or get a group together, as long as you ensure social distancing – easy on Zoom!
Here’s some ideas, but we’re not sharing their videos – you have to wait until the final edit!
This is a milestone moment so please have fun in the videos – jump for joy, laugh, do a little dance, bring in the props; however you choose to celebrate, just follow the top tips below to capture the moment of celebration in all its glory!
- Shoot the videos in a quiet space so we can hear you
- Please shoot all videos in landscape
- Keep the phone/camera reasonably close to you to help the audio quality
- Avoid shooting the videos with a bright light source behind you, so we make sure that your face is bright and well lit
- Please send over all takes of the video, no need to edit them before sending
- Movement and energy in the camera work may help the video to have more energy
We’d love to see the out-takes too – this isn’t about providing a polished, edited piece to camera, this is about celebrating our purpose; creating unforgettable holiday happiness.
To record on Zoom, simply click the record button on the menu bar, once you’ve ended the meeting, a pop up will appear showing where the video file is saved.
