To mark Earth Day which began in 1970 to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide, Aurora held a competition for their ship’s company to help raise awareness, as well as have some fun.

Inspired and led by Aurora’s Environmental Officer, Carrie Brown, the competition lasted for a week. Competitors had to design an object, whether it was something useful or a piece or art made from waste materials from the ship’s recycling centre. Check out some of the entries below:
