In December last year, we announced a cruise industry first when we launched digital port guides, powered by travel technology company, Cool Cousin, on Queen Mary 2’s Round the World Voyage.
Since the operational pause began, the Shore Experiences team have continued working with Cool Cousin to create digital port guides for both brands and we’re delighted to announce that all guides for current planned itineraries are now complete!
With the launch of our exciting summer 2022 itineraries for both brands, these guides can be used by all of CUK colleagues to virtually explore the destinations we visit, to assist with any Guest queries, or to even plan your own adventure on board one of our ships!

As experts, Cool Cousin are local residents who make informed recommendations on what to do and where, from the best restaurants and hidden gems to city landmarks. Art enthusiasts can look forward to exploring little-known galleries, coffee lovers can sample delicious beans in locally-loved cafes, and fashion junkies can discover rare labels in hidden boutiques.
Each guide also features three of the Shore Experiences that Guests can purchase for that port, along with a link to book them on My P&O Cruises/My Cunard. Guests will be emailed a link to the port guides relevant to their holiday 14 days prior to sailing and will be able to access the guides while on board.

As part of our continued focus on sustainability, we’re pleased to advise that the digital guides will replace the previous paper guides which will save around 6.5 million sheets of A3 paper per year on P&O Cruises alone.
