While we continue with our operational pause, we recognise how important it is for ship’s company to be able to take part in activities, and have opportunities to come together and socialise. We caught up with John Val de la Cruz, HR Manager to find out what activities they’ve been hosting onboard Arcadia.
“Here on Arcadia we’re always looking at ways to enhance wellbeing onboard, and as part of this, we love to host activities that are mentally stimulating and fun! Recently, we introduced our ‘Escape Room’ to our Engineers, Deck Officers and Hotel Assistants – a game which focuses on solving a ‘mysterious murder’ through the use of clues, unlocking codes, and putting information together
Taking part in activities like this one makes a big difference’ to our experience onboard during the operational pause, plus it encourages everyone to collaborate.
Martin Goodhew, Second Officer
It’s my first time taking part in an escape room – it was fun and working with a team to solve clues was great.
Milton Pesso, Hotel Assistant
Congratulations to the Deck Officers who emerged as winners of our first ever escape room.
This festive season we’ve also been hosting a Christmas escape room, the aim being to work out who won the reindeer race! The Christmas escape room will run until Christmas Eve and is gaining popularity!
