Carnival UK is an ‘Inclusive Employers Standard Bronze’ showing our ongoing commitment to belonging and inclusion. Every year we recognise and remind each other of this commitment though National Inclusion Week – this year it’s taking place 28 September to 2 October with the theme Each One, Reach One.
Each One, Reach One is about us all encouraging one other person to learn a bit more about inclusion. There are so many reasons that this year is a great year to get involved – from the global conversation around Black Lives Matter, and the changing landscape of work, to how 2020 has been the year we made flexibility work, as well as having to focus on the individual needs of one another more than ever before.
Carnival UK’s employee-led networks (Athena; gender balance and Spectrum; LGBT+ and friends) are taking the lead on this year’s activities and they’re counting on your support!
Be curious
There’s a wealth of resources available on the topic of belonging and inclusion, so to make it easy for us to be curious and learn something new, Athena and Spectrum have provided a list of resources we can all easily access.
From podcasts, to TV shows and online articles, everyone is encouraged to explore just one of these pieces of content so that they’re able to support Each One, Reach One and share what they’ve learnt with someone else during National Inclusion Week.
Take a look at the full list here. If there’s something you’d recommend that’s not listed, add it to the comments below!
