Good morning, afternoon, evening,

I hope everyone enjoyed the bank holiday / Memorial Day last weekend. This week has felt a bit ‘groundhog’ in nature – the themes to the week are still very firmly rooted in repatriation efforts for our crew across the three ships and then taking action, much of it very difficult, to get our costs down.

Thankfully there is always some good news. QE has continued to disembark crew members successfully and get them safely home to their families. We’re also seeing those crew members quarantined in hotels in Manila being allowed to go home. It’s slow, painstaking and often frustrating work but the teams, both ship and shore, are persevering and we’re most definitely making progress. In the meantime, everyone on board our three Queens has done an incredible job to keep spirits up at what has been an extremely uncertain time – thank you.

The consultation in the UK continues into its third week. Our Employee Representatives are doing a great job in supporting all those potentially affected. In the meantime, the North American and Australian teams are adjusting to new ways of working with few team members on hand. It has been really sad to see talented people leaving the business, albeit some temporarily.

Please do take care and stay safe.
