As part of their commitment to get out to the site offices on a more regular basis, the Exec Team was out in Marghera last week for their regular Exec meeting.
The first part of the visit included a guided tour of Costa Firenze and a Q&A session with the site team, providing them with the opportunity to ask questions on any topics. This format worked well and will be used for all future Exec meetings when held out on site.
Topics covered during the Exec meeting
We know that people are keen to hear more about the topics that get discussed during the Exec meetings, so here’s a flavour:
- 2020 ship deliveries: the planned strategies for ensuring these ships are delivered with no outstanding issues.
- CCS2021: the progress being made with the overall change plan, the priorities for this year and the work of the CI Taskforce.
- China: the latest progress on the set up of the China office, including recruitment and the agreed HR operating and employment models.
- Plan 2021: this is related to the financial planning cycle that we must follow to ensure that we budget according to our needs for 2021.
We’ll cover each of these items in some more detail in future articles on The Insider, so please keep an eye out.
Talking about the visit, Roberto Gonzalez, Building Manager for Marghera, said:
“The team has really valued the opportunity to show the Exec the work that they do, both the progress being made but also some of the key challenges facing us. Of course a visit wouldn’t be complete without the chance for us all to enjoy some local Italian hospitality, it was great to spend some time in a more relaxed way. We very much look forward to seeing them again soon!”
Mel Salmon, HR Director, added:
“We’ve all really enjoyed our time in Marghera and seeing the progress being made in the shipyard with our own eyes. The team are extremely proud of the work they do and this is great to see.
Thank you to everyone in Marghera for your time and hospitality and making us feel so welcome.”
