Queen Elizabeth – Alicia Thomas Maylor, Stewardess

When one of Alicia’s Guests died, she went completely above and beyond to ensure the Guest’s widow was cared for. She kept her company, was a shoulder to cry on, made sure she ate regularly and even accompanied her to evening shows. Well done Alicia.

Queen Mary 2 – Aleksander Bogaroski, Demi Chef De Partie

Throughout the festive season voyages, Aleksander’s interactions with Guests has been very positive in the busy buffet areas. He exemplified the Charismatic and Thoughtful principles of White Star Service.


Aurora – John Jose, Deck Housekeeper

A Guest reported a missing piece of jewellery and Reception called John Jose to help. The Guest was visibly upset and explained that they had dropped their precious ruby earring down the bath tub drain. Personally reassuring the Guest, John Jose went beyond his normal duties to retrieve it, much to the Guest’s delight and relief.

Azura – Nitin Poojari, Stage Crew

Nitin is a Seafarers Welfare Committee representative and received several nominations from various departments praising his hard work to ensure crew events are organised and run smoothly. Extremely pro-active, he’s a credit to the Entertainment department and his commitment and enthusiasm undoubtedly encourages others to get involved. 

Britannia – Carl Reyes, Reception & Events Manager

Carl has received several nominations from Guests, including one sent to Carnival House. Carl and the Reception team supported the Guest with a compassionate disembark due to their father becoming seriously ill at home. Arranging all transfers and emergency return travel, Carl and his team did everything they could for the Guest during a very emotional and personal time.

Oceana –Tim Trevarthen (Trev) Fleet Trainer

Tim had been recognised for being the most helpful, friendly and crew-oriented Fleet Trainer. Offering assistance at all times to all departments, he has supported senior management by carrying out additional training for new systems. He also saved the ship’s pantomime by helping out last minute!

Ventura – Dennis Castillo, 3rd Elec-Tech Officer

Dennis worked tirelessly all Christmas Day to resolve a number of faults and issues with the main boiler. Dennis is an outstanding performer and is always willing to help others – a job well-done.
