Thank you to everyone who nominated someone for a Corporate Shipbuilding Star Award, we received over 30 nominations. All of the nominations were reviewed by the Exec Team and the winners chosen.
Whilst we had many great nominations, there can only be two winners and, drum roll please…, they are Gemma Pullen, Senior Financial Planning Manager based in Southampton, UK and Chris Bowen, Senior Inspector based in Monfalcone, Italy.
Gemma received two nominations for the work that she has done in leading the flex-desking initiative in Southampton, working long hours and going far beyond her day to day role to find solutions to issues as they arose. Gemma’s nominators had this to say about her: “Gemma has taken on extra work outside of her remit and pushed ahead without complaint – become our IT guru!” and “Gemma has never formally been part of the Flex Desking Team, but has lended her support going way beyond any financial remit.”
Chris received his nomination for his hard work in setting up and leading the work related to the Ocean Medallion technology on board Sky Princess, this involved getting both internal and external stakeholders to work towards a common goal. In the words of his nominator, “His overall contribution to the team and his helpful attitude toward colleagues lead to an incredible performance and excellent service.”
In addition to their certificates, both Gemma and Chris have earned themselves an extra day of annual leave and £100 gift card for the shop of their choice.
Congratulations Gemma and Chris for well-earned awards and well done to everyone who was nominated, it’s great to see just how much you value each other and the work you do.
Don’t forget to nominate next time you hear the call for nominations!
