Athena, our employee-led network, is inviting you to take part in International Men’s Day on 19 November with special guest Elliot Rae as well as a session to talk about men and mental health.
12:30 – Elliot Rae joins us for a talk in Quebec & Rotterdam
Elliott Rae is the founder of MusicFootballFatherhood.com (MFF) – the UK’s most exciting parenting and lifestyle platform for men.
Elliott founded MFF after the traumatic birth of his daughter and the platform, called the ‘Dad’s version of Mumsnet’ by the BBC, is the online community for dads who want to have more open conversations about fatherhood. Through blogs, podcasts and events, MFF aims to increase positive representation of diverse fatherhood while providing a space and community for dads to share the ups and downs of parenting.
Elliott is also a forward-thinking Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) specialist and is one of the UK’s leading experts on fathers in the workplace.
The United Nations recently recognised Elliott’s diversity work and he is now the proud recipient of the 2019 #HeForShe ‘Change-maker of the Year’ UN Women UK award for his work on gender equality. His first Independent article went viral and was shared 17k times in two days and his latest was even shared on Twitter by none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson!

Andy Stamp
Dad of two children, 6 year old boy and 8 month girl. Family life is really important to me, so gave up a job working in and around London to work in Southampton so that I didn’t have a 3 hour commute several days a week, and could spend more time taking care of my son when he was young. Have been with Carnival for 6 years, working in Finance. I’m currently the Senior Finance Business Partner supporting Donnacha & the Maritime team.
Nathaniel Sherbourne
Have worked for Carnival UK for over 12 years across a range of departments and brands, and now Sales Director for P&O Cruises. Father to two under two, my amazing boys, Leo (23 months old) and Alfie (4 months old).
Shona Blackmore
Shona has worked in various roles within Finance at Carnival UK for 17 years, having the opportunity to travel the globe on a number of project working groups over the years. Her current role is Director of Financial Operations heading up Receivables, Payables, Cash Operations and Shore Payroll. A very proud mother to a busy 5 and half year old daughter, Darcey.
