Carnival Support Services India (CSSI) have had fantastic success recruiting for Iona so far.
In preparation for the launch of P&O Cruises’ Iona in 2020, the demand for new hires has increased by 280% compared to the previous year. Carnival UK is aiming to promote many current crew members to fill the vacancies and CSSI was requested to hire 600 Hotel Assistants. CSSI committed to hiring 50% of this requirement by June 2019 and they successfully managed to achieve this target two months ahead of schedule.
CSSI’s strategy to meet the surge in demand was to target students graduating from Hotel Schools across India. The students as part of the three year Hotel School course, undergo six month industrial training to develop a good fundamental knowledge of hotel operations. CSSI were met with exceptional success in attracting these candidates to join our ships.
CSSI have been working very hard to meet demand for Carnival UK and the other brands it supports. In 2019 they will have hosted 18 job fairs and 15 campus recruitment drive! They have also recently re-launched their job portal which has pulled in over 30,000 applicants! You can read about that here.
