Cunard in partnership with Clarendon Fine Art is refining the art connoisseurs travel experience with the launch of an Artist in Residence programme.
The Artist in Residence programme will see renowned artists sail with Cunard’s Three Queens (Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria), offering Guests exclusive first-hand access to some of world’s finest artistic minds.
The programme will launch on board Queen Victoria in September 2019, with internationally acclaimed British artist, Sherree Valentine-Daines, appointed as Cunard’s inaugural Artist in Residence.
A bit about Sheree
Sherree has held exhibitions in prestigious locations across the UK including the Tate Gallery, the Barbican and the Royal Society of British Painters. Her artwork has been shown in the Clarendon Fine Art galleries on board for a while and is a firm favourite of collectors at sea. She’s even been our guest on Queen Elizabeth’s maiden voyage in 2010, and her fifth anniversary celebration in 2015.
Sherree will be spending time on all three Cunard ships, starting in September 2019. She will host a variety of events on board, including:
- Painting a senior officer.
- A demonstration of technique, including stylistic hints and tips.
- “An audience with” session and a book signing.
- Gallery unveiling event of a new piece.
- Hosting a table in the evening with the Captain and VIP guests.
- Cocktail Gallery functions.
