Every year we look to partner with a new charity that shares our values, offers fantastic volunteering opportunities and can work with us to make a significant difference – this year is no different as we’re introducing Oasis Down to Earth Farm.
Here at Carnival UK we’re passionate about improving our environment both at work, through the experiences we provide for our people, and to the wider world through sustainable practices and supporting our communities. That’s where Oasis Down to Earth Farm comes in…
Oasis Down to Earth Farm is a community centre with a difference. Based on a farm in urban Southampton, Oasis is a not-for-profit charity, who aim to educate, empower and engage with their local community.
During the week the charity offer activities for adults with learning disabilities, children with special needs (SEN and NEET) and school groups. At the weekend and during school holidays they offer children’s birthday parties, a full programme of kids activities and are open to the general public for family days out.
The farm offers people the opportunity to interact with animals and the natural environment on a five acre site. There’s also a opportunity to explore a large garden to grow fruit and vegetables, a pond, wood workshop and two fully equipped community buildings suitable for a range of indoor activities. The farm has enriched so many lives by rebuilding confidence, providing a purpose and helping people back into employment as well as making them feel part of something bigger.

Donate a day is back!
Throughout the year we will aim to raise £25,000 through fundraising activities for the charity. But that’s not all, we will also be working closely with Oasis to provide lots of opportunities to volunteer individually or as a team. To better support you with this we’re bringing back ‘Donate a Day’ for 2019/20.
