Carnival Support Services India (CSSI) is one of our manning agents, supporting us to recruit exceptional people for our ships.
Starting from a modest five-member team it’s grown into a 160 person operation which manages approximates twenty-two thousand members of ships’ company! CSSI have evolved to now provide a wide array of services and support for many crew lifecycle processes in India.
In line with their value of ensuring continuous improvement, they launched their first bi-annual stakeholders’ newsletter this year, to help keep all those involved across the business informed and up-to-date.
The newsletter will feature updates regarding new projects and insights from those involved, process changes across the business, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and more. The latest issue highlights stories such as:
- the revamping of the job portal website www.cruisecareers.in, which is now more user-friendly and intuitive
- transition of services such as payroll and employee relations from Carnival UK to CSSI directly, creating more efficiency
- providing end-to-end logistics support for all Carnival UK colleagues joining and disembarking ships
- Go Green, Go Lean team initiative aimed at reduction of paper consumption which ties into the sustainability culture here at Carnival UK
- CSSI’s CSR program, UDAAN – giving wings to hope, aimed at supporting a school with underprivileged children
- crew relief during the floods in the Indian state of Kerala last year
- careers@sea initiative presented to final year hospitality students across India
