We’ve listened to what you’ve said and know that you want a better experience for new people joining our company. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that we’re rolling out the below improvements for new joiners coming in to Carnival House from April 2019.

You Said We’re Introducing
I had little communication with my manager from the day they offered me a role until the day I started working for Carnival. Manager guidance for regular communication and engagement through notice periods to build a connection and sense of being part of the team, even before someone joins.
The first day should be consistent for all our new joiners and equipment should be available.

Fixed start dates for all new joiners to ensure a consistent first day and enable our IT team to fully prepare the equipment needed for these people.
The induction content should be reviewed and streamlined.

A refined and improved induction, including a 30-minute slot with a member of the Leadership team.

The first 3 months experience is inconsistent and uninspiring. New joiner check-in guidance with useful tips for line managers on how to support their new team member during their first months.

This is just the start of our journey to improve the experience we’re offering our employees. If you have any questions about these changes please speak to your Line Manager or the Peopleplanningandchangeteam@carnivalukgroup.com.

If you’ve recently joined or have had a new starter join your team, what do you think of these improvements and is there anything else you think we could do?
