Role purpose
The employee experience group (EEG) representatives are committed to making Carnival UK a great place to work, helping us to become Travel’s Employer of Choice. Through open and transparent conversations they explore and voice the opinions and ideas of their business area colleagues. Through collaboration with their ELT member, senior leaders, and the colleagues they represent, they help to develop action plans that make improvements to the employee experience within their business area and Carnival UK. They track and measure these actionable changes through ongoing colleague feedback and available data analysis.
Responsibilities of an EEG representative
- Prepare, attend, and participate in all EEG meetings and training events
- Actively participate in ad hoc working groups and meetings as required
- Seek colleague views and feedback on live EEG actions and occasional insight requests from senior leader and the wider business.
- Encourage colleagues to share their views through transparent and open conversations.
- Encourage colleagues to find positive suggestions to help improve their business area employee experience.
- Share the views of the colleagues they represent in EEG meetings.
- Share EEG meeting outcomes with their business area to support wider understanding of employee experience issues and business matters.
- Build relationships and collaborate closely with their leadership team, fellow EEG representatives and the wider EEG network.

- Adept at collaboration with colleagues, including senior leaders.
- When reporting majority and minority views, operating with integrity, trust and respect.
- An active listener, questioning and clarifying when communicating with colleagues and EEG members.
- Valuing and respecting diverse opinions, seeking clarification and constructively challenging if necessary.
- Behaving calm and impartially during all conversations.
- Solution-focussed.
- Influential on employee experience decisions through feedback, suggestions and counterproposal discussions within the EEG.
- Pro-active, helping Carnival UK’s future success by generating and helping to deliver improvement ideas.
- Multi-tasker, able to meet EEG representative responsibilities alongside day-to-day role.
