Cunard Insights is a thought-provoking enrichment programme that aims to help guests step outside of their daily life and embark on a journey of self-development, enlightenment and enjoyment.

Our guests often have a desire for new knowledge. Cunard Insights aims to fulfil that need and leave them feeling inspired through an eclectic mix of talks, workshops and discussions with people who have shaped the world. Insights events on board provide meaningful and often rare opportunities for guests to interact with acclaimed experts and personalities.

The Insights programme provides guests this chance year-round with an eclectic mix of speakers on board our ships. As September draws to an end, we look back on a month of TV personalities, actors, an Olympian, a stuntman and even a Pink Lady.

Christopher Biggins – From appearing in Porridge to being crowned King of the Jungle in ITV1’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Christopher Biggins has graced our screens for 50 years. A multi-talented actor, humourist, writer and to many a national treasure, he is more affectionately known as Biggins. He appears regularly on  programmes like ITV’s This Morning’s and was a contestant in one of the celebrity Christmas editions of The Wheel and Celebrity MasterChef. Christopher has also appeared on ITV’s primetime hit show Gone To Pot and Channel 5’s Five Celebrities Go To Lapland, not forgetting the iconic I Claudius and Poldark too. Most recently he appeared on Escape to the Country.

Stuart St Paul – Celebrity stuntman Stuart St Paul has had a life of storytelling. As a result of the multitude of story-telling tricks learnt during his time as an award-winning director, he delivers a humorous, action-packed, and tension-laden narrative in the six-strong cruise crime book series CSCI, that leaves readers on the edge of their seats, and impossible to second guess.

Rochelle Stevens – Olympic gold medal-winning sprinter Dr. Rochelle Stevens, a retired International Track Star from Memphis, has dazzled the world of athletics for 12 years. She is a two-time Olympic gold and silver medallist, a member of  eight Halls of Fame, an author, philanthropist and motivational speaker.

Adrian Chiles – A stalwart of British TV, radio and journalism, Adrian Chiles currently hosts mid-mornings on Thursdays and Fridays on BBC 5 Live, and is a regular and much-loved columnist for both The Guardian and The Sun. He co-presented Daybreak with his long-time on-screen partner Christine Bleakley in 2010 and 2011, and also launched The One Show (BBC One), Match of the Day 2 (BBC Two), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two) and Working Lunch (BBC Two). Adrian has been a regular presenter on Countryfile (BBC One) since 2021.

Between 2010 and 2015 Adrian fronted ITV’s football coverage, including the Champions League, Euros, two World Cups and England internationals. During this time, he also presented three series of his successful That Sunday Night Show, also for ITV1.

John Suchet – One of the UK’s most high-profile broadcasters, John Suchet has spent 40 years in television news as a reporter and newscaster, then 15 years — and continuing — as a classical music broadcaster on Classic FM radio.

Jennie Bond – Jennie Bond has been a journalist and broadcaster in the UK for over 40 years. She’s a familiar face on TV and is best known for the 14 years she spent as the BBC’s Royal Correspondent during some of the monarchy’s most tumultuous years. She reported extensively on the divorces, death and disasters that beset the Royal Family – as well as the good times. She still broadcasts and writes about royalty, but also takes part in a wide variety of TV and radio shows.

Didi Conn – Actress and comedienne Didi Conn is best known for her starring role as Frenchy in Grease. She has also starred in films such as You Light Up My Life, The Magic Show, and Almost Summer. Didi played the title role in the Academy Award-winning short Violet and has made many guest appearances on TV. She currently stars in Harlan Coven’s Shelter on Amazon Prime and is America’s national celebrity spokesperson for Autism Speaks.

John Stainton – TV producer and director John Stainton found success in the Australian entertainment industry when he discovered Steve Irwin at his family run zoo in Beerwah, Queensland. John was Steve’s manager, producer, director and closest friend and together over 15 years they made 350 programmes together, including seven seasons of The Crocodile Hunter and two weekly TV series. John was with Steve on location off Port Douglas filming Oceans Deadliest for Discovery Network USA when he was tragically hit by a Stingray barb and died. In 2006, three weeks after Steve’s tragic passing, John produced a memorial service that was telecast live around the world from Australia Zoo to over 300 million viewers.

Kevin McCloud – Kevin McCloud is best known for the internationally acclaimed series Grand Designs which has been running on Channel 4 for over 20 years. It is now shown around the world along with spin off series including Grand Designs: The Street and Grand Designs: House of the Year. In 2015, Grand Designs was awarded the Bafta for Best Feature. Kevin has written several books on design and champions sustainable development, context, the historic environment, and ecological construction. He was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his services to architecture.

Mark Foster – Mark is one of the UK’s most successful competitive swimmers. By the age of fifteen, he was the fastest swimmer in the country. During a career spanning 23 years, Mark won 51 International medals, competed at five Olympic Games, held World, European and Commonwealth titles and smashed eight world records. In 2008, he carried out the highest honour for a British athlete as flag bearer at the opening ceremony of The Olympic Games in Beijing, which he cites as one of his proudest moments. Since retiring from the pool, Mark has forged a successful career as a commentator, TV personality, public speaker, philanthropist, and brand ambassador.

Annabel Croft – Former British tennis player Annabel Croft is one of the world’s leading tennis presenters and commentators working with Amazon Prime, ESPN, BBC and Sky Sports. Annabel presents the semi-finals and final on-court interviews at Wimbledon to a worldwide audience of over two billion people.
