Embarking your ship in the United Kingdom

No. While certain nationalities do require a visa to enter the UK, seafarers traveling through the UK to embark or disembark one of our ships are granted a temporary visa waiver (known as Transit Without a Visa, or TWOV) if they hold a Bermudan ID Card or another eligible Seafarer’s Identity Document. Carnival UK, or your Global Talent Partner, will advise you on which document type is required to ensure compliance for travel.

If you encounter any issues when checking in for your flight, please present this UK Government document to the airline check-in staff and explain that you are traveling as a seafarer on duty—either to join a vessel or to be repatriated home.

Upon arrival at the airport, please proceed through the normal customs/immigration requirements and collect your luggage.

Lost Luggage Information for joiners arriving in the UK
If you are missing luggage, please file a claim with the airline PRIOR to leaving the airport. When completing a lost luggage form, you need to decide where you want the luggage to be forwarded to.

If your luggage is lost in the UK, and you are embarking a ship, please provide the following forwarding address (do not state the ship, or your home address):

A copy of the claim should be kept for your records.

You must notify your Crew Manager onboard your ship as soon as possible

Once you have collected your luggage, exit the airport terminal and follow the airport specific transfer guide below to your overnight stay hotel.

Once you have collected your luggage, exit the airport terminal proceed to the WeKnow London meeting point as shown WeKnow London page. A driver from WeKnow London will pick you up and take you directly to the hotel.

Upon arrival at either Gatwick / Stanstead / London City / Luton Airport, a BH Car shall transfer you to the

Room Accessibility
When referring to your key wallet for your room, the first number references your floor number, and
the second number references your wing number.
The three main lifts next to the RBG restaurant provide access to floors 3, 4 and 5. Pass these lifts and reach the singular lift along the corridor on the right-hand side to take the lift to floor 2, 3, 4 and 5. If you continue down the corridor those lifts will also take you to floors 2, 3, 4 and 5. Refer Radisson Red floor plan

Crew lounge 
We have two dedicated Carnival UK Crew Lounges at the Radisson Red for you to enjoy. Our lounges are warm and welcoming spaces, where you can enjoy a comfortable seat, free tea and coffee and a peaceful atmosphere away from your hotel room. The lounges are exclusively for P&O Cruises and Cunard crew members, giving you a dedicated space to rest, relax and meet other colleagues. 

Internet
All hotel rooms and public areas are fully covered with wireless-Lan. Internet is complimentary for guests in Radisson Red and Radisson. The network is called “Radisson Guest” and is accessible by accepting the terms and conditions and connecting to the hotel Wi-Fi.

Food and Beverage
Breakfast is served at the main restaurant located on the ground floor.
Monday – Friday 06:00 – 10:00
Saturday – Sunday 06:00 – 11:00

Dinner is buffet style and served in the main restaurant on the ground floor.
Monday – Sunday 18:00 – 22:30

If you arrive after 22:30, please request dinner from the Reception desk. Boxed, hot food will be available for you to collect until 01:00

Breakfast will be served for 06:00 on the morning of departure

Pace Health and Fitness Centre
The gym, sauna, swimming pool and steam room is available for complimentary use and is located on
the ground floor. The facilities are open from Monday – Sunday 06:00 – 22:00.

Express Check-Out
For a quick check-out process, you can use the ‘Express Check-Out’ box at the reception desk. Your receipt will be emailed to you on departure.
If you have any questions during your stay, please contact them through the One Touch Service on your hotel room phone, or by dialing ‘0’. Alternatively, please ask one of the ‘Yes I Can!’ ambassadors at the reception.

Please be at your hotel lobby with your luggage by 06:30 for pickup by City Circle or Princess Coaches. If you miss this transfer, it is your own responsibility to get to the ship on time and at your own cost – Fares towards this transfer will NOT be reimbursed to you.

Upon arrival at Southampton Airport, a West Quay Cars/Radio Taxis (these companies have merged) shall transfer you to a Hotel in Southampton, the driver will know which hotel to take you to.

On the next day, please join the arranged transfer service from the hotel reception at 08:30 to join the ship. Any change to the above instructions shall be notified to you separately over email.

If you’re traveling through the United Kingdom and need to transfer between London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, National Express coaches are a convenient option.

Transfer Route:

• If you’re flying into London Heathrow, you’ll need to make your way to London Gatwick Airport.
• Conversely, if you’re arriving at London Gatwick Airport, you’ll need to travel to London Heathrow.

National Express Coaches:

• National Express offers great value coach fares to various destinations across the UK, including airport transfers.

• The cost of the coach ride will vary depending on the time of day, ranging from GBP28.00 to GBP 36.00

Expense Reimbursement:

• Since you’ll be making your own way between the airports, you can claim the coach fare as an expense.
• Be sure to keep your booking confirmation and any relevant receipts for reimbursement.

• To ensure a smooth journey, we recommend booking your National Express coach online in advance.
