As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Queen Anne marked the occasion by hosting a special Afternoon Tea for crew members in the Britannia Club.

The event was very well attended, with colleagues from a wide range of departments including Spa, Deck, Technical, Hotel, and Housekeeping. We were also delighted to welcome members of the Senior Management Team, including the Captain, HGM, Chief Officer, and HRM.

It was a wonderful opportunity for crew members to come together, share conversations, laughter, and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed setting. Events like these are important not only for raising awareness but also for fostering a supportive and caring community onboard.

This event would not have been possible without the amazing teamwork displayed across Queen Anne. A special thank you goes to the Galley team for preparing additional pastries for the occasion, the F&B Manager for supporting and allowing the event to take place, and the Restaurant team for going above and beyond. Not only did they provide their usual excellent service to our guests during Afternoon Tea, but they also took the time to serve our crew, helping to make the event a truly special experience for everyone involved.

Breast cancer affects millions of people around the world, including both women and men. While it is the most common cancer among women, men can also develop breast cancer, and it often remains a topic that is not openly discussed. This is why raising awareness and encouraging open conversations is so important.

Early detection can save lives. We encourage everyone to regularly check themselves, be aware of any changes in their bodies, and seek medical advice if they have any concerns. Awareness, education, and prevention remain key in the fight against breast cancer.

Together, let us continue spreading awareness, supporting those affected by breast cancer, and reminding one another that taking care of our health should always be a priority.
