From keeping colleagues informed about business updates to celebrating achievements, encouraging teamwork and creating opportunities to connect, Aurora has hosted a range of activities that show the strong sense of community on board.
Keeping crew informed and recognising contribution
The Senior Management Team (SMT) recently welcomed crew members to a Town Hall Briefing. The session gave crew the opportunity to hear the latest company and operational updates directly from the ship’s leadership team.
The briefing helped crew stay informed about business performance, operational developments and future priorities. It also reinforced our commitment to open communication and transparency. Following the briefing, the HR team hosted the 16th Crew Raffle Draw. Using a fun “Spin the Wheel” format, crew members gathered as winners were selected for a range of prizes, including laptops, tablets, speakers and headphones.
The raffle created a lively atmosphere on board and provided an opportunity to thank colleagues for their ongoing commitment and contribution.

Friendly competition brings departments together
Teamwork, determination and plenty of sporting spirit were on display during a basketball tournament held on board.
Six departments took part: Technical, Housekeeping, Back of House, Laundry, Bar and Restaurant. Colleagues from across the ship came together to support the teams, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the competition. After a series of closely contested matches, the Bar Team became champions through strong teamwork and consistent performances.
The tournament not only promoted healthy competition and wellbeing, but also helped strengthen relationships between departments. It brought colleagues together through a shared sense of fun and teamwork.

Celebrating and supporting women on board
A Women’s Community Gathering brought together women crew members for an afternoon focused on connection, support and shared experiences.
A key focus of the event was raising awareness of the Crew Assistance Programme (CAP). This helped colleagues learn more about the confidential wellbeing and support services available whenever they are needed. By encouraging open conversations and highlighting available resources, the gathering reinforced the importance of looking after personal wellbeing and supporting one another.
Alongside discussions and networking opportunities, colleagues enjoyed games, bingo and a raffle. The activities created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged new friendships and strengthened existing connections.
The gathering reflected the ship’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, supported and connected.

Building a positive onboard experience
Whether through leadership communication, recognition activities, sport or community events, our ship’s teams continue to create opportunities for colleagues to connect and support one another. Together, these activities help strengthen life on board, promote wellbeing and engagement, and support the positive and inclusive culture that makes our ships such a special place to work.
