Last week, we opened two new crew lounges at the 4* Radisson Red, London – the hotel our colleagues stay at before travelling to Southampton.

About the lounges
The lounges are warm and welcoming spaces where colleagues can enjoy a comfortable seat, free tea and coffee, and a peaceful atmosphere away from their hotel room. Available 24/7 and exclusively for P&O Cruises and Cunard, these spaces are ideal for early arrivals while they wait to check in.

The Hub
The Hub is a social space to relax and meet other colleagues, with free tea and coffee, water, a refrigerator, comfortable seats and USB charging ports.

The Lounge
The Lounge is a quiet space for rest and relaxation with comfortable seating and USB charging ports.

We marked the occasion in style by inviting all newly arriving crew to a ‘grand opening’ hosted by Captain Aseem Hashmi. After a fantastic speech, colleagues enjoyed a welcome drink, canapes and a lucky dip duck themed raffle, where one lucky winner walked away with a brand new iPad. Congratulations to Ruel Hiwatig (Work Squad Senior Supervisor)!

We want to make sure the space is the best in can be and so we’ll be asking everyone arriving at the Radisson to share their thoughts and ideas on the new lounges.

Our new speedy transfer service from Heathrow to the Radisson
The occasion was made even better with WeKnow London, the service colleagues use to travel from Heathrow to the hotel.

We launched WeKnow in June and since then, more than 2200 colleagues have benefited from an average journey time of less than 20 minutes door-to-door. This is a huge improvement on the one+ hour some of our crew were waiting with HotelHoppa, our previous provider. Read more about the benefits of WeKnow London here.

We’re always exploring different ways we can improve your travel experience. A week after you arrive on board, you’ll be invited to share your feedback on your journey. Please do fill this in so we can make sure your experience is the best it can be!
