October marks World Mental Health Month, and onboard Arvia, the team made it their mission to bring mental health into the spotlight.
To mark the occasion, crew hosted a Mental Health Takeover of part of the M1, creating a space where awareness, connection, and wellbeing were front and centre.
The purpose of the event was to drive positive change, encourage people to talk openly about mental health and give everyone a chance to step outside their daily routine.
To help do this the space was divided into three zones:
💆♀️ Looking After Yourself
Crew members enjoyed free 5-minute massages and explored an informative wall filled with practical tips for maintaining mental wellbeing while working at sea.
🤝 Connecting with Others
From bracelet-making to a message wall filled with encouraging notes and signatures, this area fostered kindness and connection among colleagues.
🎉 Have Fun
With music, hopscotch, and plenty of conversation, this zone brought smiles, laughter, and a touch of childhood joy to the day.

The event was a huge success, with crew members relaxing, getting creative, and interacting with one another.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this event so special. If you have a story to share on The Insider let us know at Internal.Comms@carnivalukgroup.com
