On 5 February, Arcadia reached an exciting milestone as she crossed the equator during her 2025 World Cruise. The day’s festivities centred around the anticipated Crossing the Line ceremony, held at the Aquarius Pool.
The highlight of the ceremony saw Officers locked in battle with a crew of mischievous pirates. Through a series of challenges, they fought to earn King Neptune’s permission for Arcadia to cross into the Southern Hemisphere. As part of the ritual, Pollywogs, those who had never crossed the equator before were officially initiated and welcomed into the ranks of Shellbacks.
Now Arcadia continues her journey to Asia as part of her World Cruise. Well done to everyone who took part, it’s great to see a seafaring tradition continuing to be recognised.
