Deadline extended! WIN in the World of Cunard competition! 

There’s still time to enter the annual World of Cunard competition  – with some fantastic prizes up for grabs for our winners!

The competition deadline has been extended! We’re now open for entries until Friday 13 September for all Cunard Fleet, Cunard shoreside colleagues at CUK (including those colleagues supporting Cunard), and colleagues in Cunard International (North America, Germany, Japan and Australasia) to enter. 

This year’s prizes:  

This year there’s three prizes available. A winner will be selected from each of the categories below to receive: £500, plus £1,000 towards their crew welfare fund (if on board) or £1,000 towards a social event for their shoreside team.  

Our three entry categories:  

• Art (E.g. Written, visual, sculpture)
• Photography 
• Video

Throughout the competition we’ll be keeping an eye out for entries that deserve an ‘honourable mention’ too – who will each receive £100 for their efforts. Good luck! 

Where will the trophy travel next? An overall winner will also be selected to receive the prestigious We Are Cunard Trophy – to take pride of place on board their ship or in their global office HQ. The trophy is currently on board Queen Elizabeth for the second year running! Will it stay there for a third year?  

This year’s theme: Sailing as four 

‘Sailing as four’ is an exciting new chapter for Cunard and brings with it lots of new opportunities – for our guests and our colleagues. Whether you’re currently working on board a Cunard ship, at one of Cunard’s global offices, or supporting Cunard, we’d love to know what ‘sailing as four’ means to you.  

It could be the destinations you’ll get to visit on board one of our four world-famous Queens. The new people you’ve met or worked with, ship and shore. It could be a favourite Cunard venue or experience, or simply, how you’ll continue to deliver the outstanding White Star Service we’re so famous for.  

In terms of how to bring your entry to life – it’s up to you! As long as it comes under one of our three categories, we’ll accept videos, photographs, a story or poem, music, audio, art, or a dance… You can do this on your own but even better, have some fun with your team, friends, and colleagues!

When creating your entries:

• Be thoughtful of our guests and do not involve or impact them 
• Stay safe – don’t put yourself or anyone else at risk 
• Use your phone to video or take a photo – no fancy cameras needed 
• If you want to use video, keep your video to 60 seconds or less 
• You can submit as many entries as you like

Terms & conditions:

• This year’s World of Cunard competition is open from 8 July – 13 September 2024. Entries submitted after 17:00 UK time on 13 September will not be accepted.  
• The World of Cunard Competition is open to all Cunard Fleet, Cunard shoreside colleagues at CUK (including those colleagues supporting Cunard), and colleagues in Cunard International (North America, Germany, Japan and Australasia) 
• Entries can be submitted as individuals or teams. If sharing a video or photo, please ensure you have permission from everyone who features in your entry before submitting. 
• Our winners and honourable mentions will be selected by our Shoreside White Star Service Committee – made up of representatives from across the business. 
• Prizes are non-transferable.
