Cunard’s beautiful new ship, Queen Anne, welcomed guests on board for the first time on Friday 3 May, ready for her maiden voyage to Lisbon, via La Coruna.

Before she set sail, her official blessing and plaque exchange ceremony took place at Mayflower Terminal. She was blessed by the Lord Bishop of Winchester in a traditional ceremony that’s held to protect the vessel and all who sail on her. Following that Katie McAlister, Cunard President, and Queen Anne’s crew welcomed Captain Thorhauge in the Grand Lobby. Take a look for yourself below.

And it wasn’t just our Cunard colleagues who welcomed the sight of Queen Anne – she had plenty of coverage from the media, including the below…

We wish Queen Anne and her crew well as they’re now delivering unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests while creating Cunard history.
