As we look forward to P&O Cruises new ship Arvia joining the fleet in December, last week saw the exciting PR launch event in London to celebrate her eagerly anticipated arrival.
Guests including journalists, key influencers, celebrities, travel agents and our very own Carnival UK competition winners felt transported to the sparkling seas and sugar-soft sands of the Caribbean, home to Arvia’s maiden season.
Surrounded by swaying palm trees, Paul Ludlow and DJ Trevor Nelson hosted the evening and introduced everyone to the amazing experiences that a holiday on Arvia will bring. The evening included many immersive activities including cooking demos from new Local Caribbean Food Hero, Shivi Ramoutar, and cocktail making with Food Hero and wine expert, Olly Smith.
Guests enjoyed vibrant tastes of the Caribbean with delicious food including Shivi’s special fish tacos, accompanied by Olly’s refreshing piña colada made with The Tidal Rum, Arvia’s exciting new rum partner. There was also a preview of the fun to be had at Arvia’s Altitude with a round of mini-golf, an ocean-themed sweetie wall and an incredible performance by Pan Nation Steel Orchestra. Trevor Nelson then wrapped up the evening with a DJ set packed with classic R&B floor-fillers.
