Today P&O Cruises has shared a video update from Paul Ludlow, president, P&O Cruises, with all guests.
Regular updates like these help keep our guests up-to-date with P&O Cruises news, drive consumer engagement and remind everyone of the unforgettable holiday happiness they enjoy when they cruise with us.
Also today, both P&O Cruises and Cunard have announced that guest mask wearing restrictions are changing across the fleet. As countries share their ‘living with Covid’ plans, now is the opportunity to review our protocols in line with guest sentiment, crew wellbeing and ensuring we can continue to operate safely and in compliance wherever we are.
Read this announcement below.
Whilst we highly recommend that guests wear masks on board, they are only required in the theatre, cinema, or if you visit the Medical Centre.
Off the ship, masks are required to be worn during embarkation and disembarkation, or when using tender boats. There may also be some destinations you visit that require you to wear masks when ashore.
When it comes to what mask to wear, they must cover your nose and mouth, and be of a good quality (ideally medical grade). Re-usable masks should be washed regularly, and visors and face shields aren’t accepted as a substitute for a face mask.
For our colleagues on board, we’re focused on their ships becoming the home from home they’re used to. To continue to offer everyone the best protection against Covid-19, we’ll test and learn from guest changes before moving to lifting colleague restrictions. What we learn will help us build our step-by-step timeline to roll out a number of changes to colleague protocols over the next few months.
Our top priority is compliance, environmental protection and the health, safety and well-being of our guests, crew members, shoreside employees and the people in the places we touch, so we’re remaining agile with all changes.
The introduction of these changes marks a milestone moment for our guest and colleague operations and the start of our long-awaited journey out of Covid protocols.
