Earlier this year we all took part in a Culture Essentials in Practice session, which gave us the opportunity to learn more about our Culture Essentials, have open and honest conversations about how we work together at our best, and discuss where we thought there was room to improve.

Remember those individual and team commitments you made? It’s time to check in and see how you’re doing. Set some time aside in your next team meeting to have a review and ask yourselves:

  • What did you commit to?
  • What’s changed?
  • What’s improved?
  • Where is there still more work to do and what do you need to do next to make it happen?

Our Culture Essentials and the commitments we made benefit us all, so it’s really important that we all Respect and Protect each other and ensure everyone gets the chance to Speak Up. We should all feel Empowered to Improve how we work together, so Communicate, Listen and Learn, and if there’s still work to do, agree next steps on how and when you’ll make it happen. 

We’re all busy but taking a step back for just a few minutes now could help make big improvements to the way we work together in the future.

So what are you waiting for? Set some time aside in your next team meeting and individually in your Q3 Enabling Conversation and talk about it! Whether you’re a line manager or not, you should feel Empowered to make it happen.
