Just because our ships don’t have Guests on at the moment doesn’t mean there aren’t any hungry mouths to feed…

That’s why we wanted to take this opportunity to recognise some superb work that’s been happening on board Aurora during our operational lay up. Megan Gloss, a senior Chef de Partie, has been on board leading the Galley team since February. Although it’s not her official role, she’s been covering the duties of Sous Chef and the Executive Chef too. Amazing work!

The food has consistently received positive feedback from all the ship’s company, including how the quality and taste has improved – step aside Chef. Megan has even managed to reduce the ship’s food waste levels – what a fantastic example of ‘Respect and Protect’ for our planet.

The Hotel Manager on board had this to say: “I just wished to put into writing the amazing job that Megan Gloss has done on board AU during the operational lay up. I have no hesitation whatsoever with the skills and management that she has displayed during this period to recommend her for the Passport to Sous Chef programme.”

Well done Megan and thank you for all your hard work. It’s great to see that opportunities to develop our people are continuing to happen, as well as shouting about individual successes!
