Chloe Palmer and Yasmin McKechnie from the P&O Cruises Partnership Team have been invited to join an initiative launched by Travel Trade Gazette (TTG), that shines the spotlight on the travel industry’s most inspiring young people who have made an outstanding contribution to their business!

TTG welcome applications and nominations from across the travel industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, tourist boards, PR companies and other suppliers to the trade. All applications and nominations are then judged by TTG’s partners Gold Medal and Travel 2, WTM London and ITT, plus members of the TTG team.

Daniel Pearce, CEO, TTG Media said, “There are countless networking events in travel, but there aren’t many opportunities for the younger stars in the business to meet, to network and to be inspired by some of travel’s current leaders. Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders not only celebrates these individuals but also gives them a real opportunity to learn from some of the most senior people in the industry as well as each other. I’d personally like to congratulate Chloe and Yasmin on making it to the final 30.” Daniel Pearce, CEO, TTG Media

A bit about Yasmin, Business Manager, P&O Cruises

After starting her career with Virgin Cruises then as a store manager with Virgin Retail, Yasmin realised her passion was for cruises, which led to her joining Carnival UK in 2016 as a regional sales manager. Yasmin was promoted to business manager the following year and currently has responsibility for P&O Cruises’ key accounts. She says she is really excited to meet like-minded people through TTG 30 Under 30.

What her nominator said…
“Yasmin is exceptionally hard-working and driven, while also maintaining her very likeable character. With every company Yasmin has worked for, she has quickly progressed and been recognised as a future star. Yasmin is very well thought of among the senior team at P&O Cruises, and I have no doubt she will continue to progress there.”

A bit about Chloe, Partnership Development Manager, P&O Cruises

After joining Tui in 2013 as an apprentice, Chloe was promoted to store manager within just three years. While working in this role, she developed a passion for cruise, which led to her move to her role with P&O Cruises as partnership development manager.

Chloe said…
“My role combines all areas of account management, allowing me to develop my skillset and forge relationships with our travel agent partners. I’m so grateful to be part of this year’s 30 Under 30, and look forward to getting to know and learning from the other nominees.”

The competition for the initiative was extremely fierce, with nominations across a wide spectrum of industry sectors. A panel of distinguished judges met recently to choose the 30 successful candidates. As part of the final 30, Chloe and Yasmin will receive free membership to the Institute of Travel and Tourism, and will be invited to a series of networking dinners and events, with speakers drawn from the most senior levels within travel.
