If you’re embarking your ship in Miami please follow the guide below for information about airports, hotels and travelling to your ship.
Please note embarking crew members must be onboard motorcoach transportation to pier no later than 0730hrs the day of sailing.
IMPORTANT: Electronic travel authorisations (ETAs) and declarations (ETDs)
Electronic travel authorisations (ETAs) and declarations (ETDs) are likely to become more common in the future. Many countries are adopting ETAs and ETDs to enhance security and streamline the entry process for visitors. Because countries are introducing this electronic process at different timeframes, it’s important that you check with your Global Talent Partner / Crew Compliance team what requirements exist in your destination for your nationality.

Do I need a visa to enter the UK to transit through the UK?
No. While certain nationalities do require a visa to enter the UK, seafarers traveling through the UK to embark or disembark one of our ships are granted a temporary visa waiver (known as Transit Without a Visa, or TWOV) if they hold a Bermudan ID Card or another eligible Seafarer’s Identity Document. Carnival UK, or your Global Talent Partner, will advise you on which document type is required to ensure compliance for travel.
If you encounter any issues when checking in for your flight, please present this UK Government document to the airline check-in staff and explain that you are traveling as a seafarer on duty—either to join a vessel or to be repatriated home.
Immigration check upon arrival in USA
Upon arrival at the airport, please proceed through the normal customs/immigration requirements and collect your luggage.
Missing Luggage
If you are missing luggage, please file a claim with the airline PRIOR to leaving the airport. If your luggage is lost during your journey, please provide the address of the Valletta Port Agent (below) and include the name of the ship you are due to embark:

A copy of the claim should be kept for your records. You must notify Crew Manager aboard your ship as soon as possible. The Crew Manager will inform the Port Agent in Miami together with sending a copy of the Claim Report.
Joining same day – transfer from airport to the cruise terminal
If joining same day, Cruiseport Destinations staff will meet you inside the airport at the baggage claim area for your flights (or the greeter area outside the customs/immigration exit), holding a crew sign with the Cunard logo.
From here you will be escorted to the transfer vehicle.

Joining the next day – transfer from airport to the hotel
If you are joining the next day, Cruiseport Destinations staff will meet you inside the airport at the baggage claim area for your flights (or the greeter area outside the customs/immigration exit), holding a crew sign with the Cunard logo.
From here you will be escorted to the transfer vehicle.

If you are joining the next day of your arrival in Miami Port Agent representative will be taking you to one of the below hotels.

At the hotel, please be prepared to give them your name and your passport.
All hotel bookings are made on a dinner, bed, and breakfast basis. Depending on your arrival time at the hotel, lunch may also be included.
All incidental charges, such as phone, mini bar, in room movies, baggage handling etc. will be charged to your account and must be paid by you upon check out.
MEALS
Meal allowances are organized by Carnival UK. The hotel will provide you with meal vouchers at check-in.
Transfer from Hotel to the Ship
Seafarers pick up time from Even Hotel
Breakfast buffet is ready at 0530hrs at Even Hotel.
Please be ready in the lobby 0645hrs for pick up no later than 0700hrs, unless told otherwise at check in. Please make sure you have all your belongings specially your passport before heading down to lobby. If a transportation issue arises, contact Cruiseport Destinations.
Members of the Senior Management Team (SMT) or Executive Team will have individual transfers from The Pullman Hotel with pick up time at 0730hrs.
Breakfast is served from 0630hrs at The Pullman Hotel.
It is approximately a 45-minute drive to the cruise terminal from the hotel.
