Carnival UK is a trading name of Carnival plc. This website and its contents are designed for the employees of Carnival UK only. It cannot be found by search engines. Please do not share the website link with anyone who is not a current Carnival UK employee. No images or articles published on this website may be re-purposed or reused elsewhere without prior consent from the content owner.
Privacy notice
We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to The Insider. You can navigate the majority of The Insider without giving us any personal data which identifies you. However, should you wish to comment on articles you will need to subscribe to The Insider and to do this, we need to collect limited personal data about you in order to validate your employment with Carnival UK.
Why we process personal data
We collect a limited amount of personal data about you when you choose to subscribe to The Insider. Information collected during subscription is your name, email address, job title at time of subscription and your employee number. Your employee number is retained only until your employment is verified.
We also process personal data about you when you contribute articles or comments to The Insider. Comments and opinions you submit are your personal data, and where they reference other individuals, may also be considered their personal data as well.
Visitors to The Insider will be subject to tracking using common analytics methods, unless web browser, ad-blockers, privacy tools or other settings prevent this from occurring.
How we process personal data
By voluntarily providing the required data to subscribe, you consent to the personal data being used to confirm your employment with Carnival UK and enable your subscription.
We may, in rare circumstances, be required to use personal data about you for other purposes without your consent such as complying with a legal duty, or protecting your vital interests or the vital interests of those around you.
We will only use personal data about you for the purpose(s) it was collected for or closely related purposes, and will inform you or seek your consent if we need to use it for other purposes.
Comments
When you comment on an article on The Insider, your full name will be displayed as you provided it to us. While the article is visible, you can delete your comment at any time and this will remove your name and comment from display.
Your name and comment will remain visible on the article for as long as the article is live on The Insider (18 months). After this time, the article will be archived, your name and comment(s) will no longer be visible, but will be retained within The Insider.
Contributors
Explicit consent will be sought from the contributor for their article, which may include personal data, to be displayed on The Insider. This consent is given as part of the article submission process.
Where other individuals’ personal data feature within an article, the contributor must ensure that each individual completes an ‘Insider contributor consent form’ which can be found at the bottom of this page here. Articles will not be published until explicit consent is received from all individuals featured in the contributor article.
Evidence of explicit consent will be retained by the Internal Communications department until the article is deleted.
The Internal Communications team will seek your consent should there be a desire to repurpose or republish content you have authored. You will be asked to complete an ‘Insider contributor consent form’ which can be found at the bottom of this page.
How we store personal data
Personal data about you is stored within The Insider site with appropriate security measures.
We regularly audit subscribers against our current Carnival UK employee data, and we will delete subscriptions of individuals no longer employed by Carnival UK.
Contributor articles will be archived for 5 years before being permanently deleted. If you wish to delete your contributor article from archive before the 5 year deletion date, you can do so at any time by emailing internal.comms@carnivalukgroup.com
Should you leave Carnival UK, your contributor article will be live on The Insider for 18 mths after which it will be archived within The Insider site. If you wish to remove your contributor article from The Insider before or after you leave Carnival UK, you can do so by emailing internal.comms@carnivalukgroup.com
The Internal Communications team may archive or delete any article earlier than the above periods without notice.
Sharing personal data
We process personal data in the UK to deliver this website. We contract other companies and individuals to perform certain activities on our behalf; these contractors have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but are not permitted to use it for other purposes.
Your rights concerning your personal data (“information rights”)
You have rights over how we use personal data about you, and can exercise those rights by contacting our Data Protection Officer using the contact details below. Our ability to uphold these rights for you depends upon our obligations and reasons for processing personal data. We will inform you of our obligations in response to your specific request.
Withdrawing consent to processing
Where we have obtained your consent to process personal data about you, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Where we process personal data about you in ways for which your consent is not required, such as complying with a legal duty or protecting your vital interests or the vital interests of those around you, you may have a limited right to ask us to cease processing of that personal data, or restrict the nature of the processing.

Ensuring the accuracy of personal data we hold about you
We will update or amend personal data we hold about you if you inform us of inaccuracies by emailing internal.comms@carnivalukgroup.com.
Deleting personal data we hold about you
We will delete personal data we hold about you if you ask us to do so, as required by data protection law.
