On 1 March 2026, Queen Anne arrived at the Port of Manila for what would become one of the most meaningful days of the voyage. In close collaboration with global talent partners Singa and Magsaysay, a special shoreside event was organised to honour and celebrate the ship’s Filipino crew members.

With nearly half of the ship’s crew being Filipino, the welfare team recognised the importance of creating a day that would allow them to reconnect with their loved ones, something many had been looking forward to for months.

Filipino crew often spend 10 months away from home, working hard every day and contributing to the smooth operation of the ship. This was a lovely opportunity to recognise their hard work and dedication.

The event itself featured a vibrant selection of activities and local favourites. There were basketball games, basket‑throwing contests and a carefully curated lineup of Filipino delicacies that reminded everyone of home. Stalls served halo-halo, kwek-kwek, lechon, and other favourites that brought comfort and joy. And of course, no Filipino gathering would be complete without Jollibee, which was ordered specially, knowing how much the crew love it.

What made the day truly remarkable, however, was the emotional atmosphere. Crew members reunited with their families – spouses, children, parents, siblings, cousins – some of whom had travelled long distances just for the chance to spend even a few hours together. There were hugs, tears, laughter, shared stories, and countless photos, capturing moments that will be cherished long after the voyage continues.

Overall, the event was a heartfelt celebration, not only of the Filipino crew’s hard work and dedication, but also of the deep family values and strong sense of community that they bring on board every day.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to a wonderful day!
