One of the ways we create unforgettable holiday happiness is by keeping our ships in tip‑top shape and fully compliant.

To make sure every guest continues to enjoy a seamless experience, Ventura will be heading into refit this week. During her time in dry dock, some of her much‑loved spaces will be refreshed with stylish new furnishings and décor.

Cabins & Suites

Guests cabins are their sanctuary, so we’re focusing on upgrading Ventura’s accommodation to make their holiday even more stylish and comfortable. All cabins and suites will see new carpet, curtains, bedside lampshades and armchairs in warm, neutral tones. Suites will also feature decorative ceiling lights plus new desk and bedside lamps. Bathrooms and balconies are getting a refresh too, along with new carpets across hallways, lift cars, lobbies and stairwells.

The heart of the ship

The Atrium is where magical mornings and unforgettable evenings unfold. It’s being beautifully updated with a smart new dance‑floor design using marquetry‑effect planks, timber colouring and elegant finishes. Its creative inspiration comes from the symbolism of Tyche, the Greek goddess of chance, and Fortuna, her Roman counterpart – so keep an eye out for braided wheat spikes, ship sails and crown‑like details woven into the design.

Bars

  • Red Bar’s sophisticated setting makes it perfect for a pre‑dinner glass of Champagne. Cushions, curtains and wall coverings will feature a richer palette inspired by the deep red of a ruby, with subtle sapphire accents and a touch of champagne to add depth and warmth.

  • A favourite day‑to‑night venue, Tamarind Club is ideal for entertainment or relaxed evenings with a cocktail. Upholstery will adopt fresh tones inspired by mint and tamarind, enhancing the club’s inviting and exotic atmosphere.

  • Ventura’s club and show lounge, Havana, is known for its colour and Cuban energy. New carpets and upholstery take cues from the city’s architecture, vintage travel posters and lush palm leaves – perfect for nights filled with music, dancing and mojitos.

  • With its sweeping sea views and live jazz, Metropolis offers a cosmopolitan backdrop for after‑dinner drinks. Updated upholstery and new coffee tables draw inspiration from city grid lines, skyscraper façades and the interplay of light and shadow for a refined, contemporary look.

  • For sunshine‑soaked afternoons by the pool, Ventura’s deck bars will have even more style and comfort too.

Restaurants

  • Sindhu’s new carpets draw from the traditional Indian art of block printing – intricate patterns carved into wooden blocks and hand‑stamped onto fabric. Expect deep red tones inspired by henna, rhythmic artisan motifs and warm, natural textures.

  • Bay Tree Restaurant is getting an extensive makeover. New carpets feature abstract, water colour‑style patterning for a softer, more fluid look, while chairs and banquette upholstery combine bold dark shades with softer earth tones.
  • Inspired by its namesake spice, Saffron’s new carpets will offer textured brush strokes and a natural, warm palette elevated with pastel hues. Light marble‑effect tiles at the entrance will create a bright, welcoming first impression.

Entertainment & more

  • Ventura’s 800‑seat Arena theatre will take inspiration from ancient Greek design with geometric patterns, symmetry and curved seating. Carpets in cherry‑red tones and dramatic new upholstery will bring the wow factor to every show.

  • With refreshed geometric tiling and a warm‑neutral palette, Oasis spa and salon will feel even more serene. A Japanese head‑spa experience, following in Iona’s footsteps, will be added for a truly luxurious treatment. New hair stations will also uplift the salon space.

  • In the Photo Gallery a new carpet design will reflect the feeling of a sunlit walk on the beach, with flowing tones inspired by sand, vegetation and water

  • Shopping on board becomes even more seamless thanks to new seating areas, consultation spaces and service zones.

  • Plus, family friendly venues including children’s club will get a refresh too. The arcade will receive new family friendly games, including a bowling machine.

Crew areas

  • Carpets and flooring will be updated throughout as well as upholstery

  • Steam to electric Bain Maries added to both crew and officer mess to keep food warmer

  • 100 cabins will receive vinyl and shower tray replacements in cabin bathrooms.

Ship Maintenance

  • Shaft replacement

  • Thruster repairs

  • Safety systems upgrades

  • Pipework systems upgrades

Ventura will return on Friday 27 February, ready to welcome guests for a 35‑night Caribbean and USA holiday, before heading off on sailings to Spain, France, Portugal, the Canaries and Northern Europe.
