Over the past couple of years we’ve needed to rapidly evolve our IT offering at Carnival House to adapt to our new hybrid ways of working. We’ve enhanced our WiFi in the building, upgraded and added screens to meeting rooms (we’ll continue to add more into 2025), fitted all desks with a ‘standard’ set up and continue to listen to your feedback so we can make improvements in the right areas.
In response to your feedback around making meetings an equal experience for all colleagues whether dialing in remotely or meeting in-person, we’re trialing new equipment Logitech Scribe and Logitech Sight. So what does this new equipment do and how’s it going to help?
Logitech Scribe
Logitech Scribe allows content on the whiteboard in the meeting space to be projected clearly on screen so that those joining remotely can easily read what is on there and participate in discussions fully. As people in the room update the content, remote colleagues will see it in real time. The technology helps with legibility and is especially useful for creative thinking sessions. Find out more here.
To activate Logitech Scribe you will need to press the purple button next to the whiteboard in the meeting space. To stop sharing, press the button again.
Logitech Sight
Logitech Sight helps colleagues dialing in remotely to follow conversation in the room. The camera and microphone on the Sight device better picks up the voice and face of the person speaking whether they are looking at the screen or not meaning better visibility and clearer conversations. Find out more here.
Logitech Sight will activate automatically.
Help us trial the new equipment
Both of these new pieces of equipment are currently being trialled in meeting spaces Svalbard, Trinidad, Barcelona and Vancouver. Logitech Sight is also being trialled in Visby. If you have these spaces booked please help us trial the new equipment and share your feedback via the QR code in the meeting room. If you are dialing in to the meeting remotely, we want to hear from your too. Share your feedback via the link here.
If the trial is successful we will be looking to roll out the new equipment to more meeting spaces next year.
Remember, if you have an IT issue or come across equipment that isn’t working as it should let IT know so it can be resolved. You can do this by logging a fault or by visiting the Tech Bar on the ground floor of Carnival House.
We also continue to encourage you to ask any questions about working at Carnival House or make suggestion for improvement via the slido here.
