Cunard’s 2025 Entertainment Residencies programme launches today, ready to entice guests with impressive performances and theatrical treats on selected voyages. Next year, Cunard will welcome some truly special guests for exclusive residencies on board the Queens.

Cunard’s Showcases have been performed on board to great success for the past couple of years and have now been re-branded to Entertainment Residencies to better encompass what the programme is all about.

Musicals. Comedy. Opera. Ghost stories. Plus, more intimate, one-of-a-kind experiences like recitals and workshops. Cunard have collaborated with renowned theatre companies and global dance phenomena to bring guests a world of sparkling drama they’ll not soon forget.

Guests can join Queen Victoria in the Mediterranean and watch Carlos Acosta’s Acosta Danza, a dazzling dance company that beautifully combines ballerina precision with the heartbeat of the Cuban streets. Or they could become swept up in stories they already know and love, from Pride and Prejudice to Carousel. Guests can watch unconventional productions of classics by Oscar Wilde and Agatha Christie, and perhaps find themselves fiddling with their fingernails, waiting to find out ‘whodunnit?’

The Cunard Entertainment Residencies programme is spearheaded by the Cunard Entertainment Development team, particularly Entertainment Development Manager, Catherine Robey-Ancient, who found her feet in the theatre world on land and is making it her mission to break barriers and bring award-winning theatre to sea.

Catherine said:

I am immensely proud to bring fresh talent, unheard stories and world-class performance to our Cunard guests. The Entertainment Residencies offer dance, theatre and circus performances seen nowhere else at sea. They are unique to Cunard and echo the quality and variety found in theatres on land. I have travelled the UK, met with London producers, and seen dozens of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to programme the coming year. I am particularly excited for Acosta Danza’s residency on Queen Victoria, bringing vibrant Cuban dance to our Mediterranean season.”
