Holland America Line will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary with a grand event hosted in Rotterdam on the 18 April.
On the day, the cruise line’s ship, Rotterdam VII, will arrive at its namesake city of Rotterdam, where the ceremony will begin at Hotel New York, home to their original headquarters.
During the ceremony, Holland America Line will present a commemorative 150th Anniversary bell, which will be blessed by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, and permanently displayed at Hotel New York.
Following a Gala dinner, the celebrations will move to the Lido pool area with live music and a toast to the special day.
The day will be lead by Holland America Line President, Gus Antorcha, who will also be joined by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, Rotterdam’s godmother; Ahmed Aboutaleb, mayor of Rotterdam; and descendants from two families of Holland America Line’s original founders.
