At our last business update we shared our commitment to developing our leaders at all levels.
As part of this we recently launched Leadership and Management Essentials in our Induction and we’re delighted to announce that we’re now expanding the programme to existing managers.
Our leaders have a direct impact on how our colleagues experience Carnival UK and the programme has been designed to ensure every colleague has a consistent experience in how they’re managed.
About the programme
Leadership and Management Essentials is a practical and thought-provoking programme that will take our shoreside managers on a journey of self-discovery, through a mix of interactive workshops and elearning.

Cristina Muñoz, Senior Brand Partnerships Manager, Cunard, shares more about her experience on the programme and her top tips:
Who needs to attend?
All shoreside managers between CUK 7-10 will need to complete Leadership and Management Essentials by December 2024*. This includes colleagues CUK 7-8 who don’t manage people.
New managers who started after 1 November 2022 are already attending the programme as part of their Induction.
*If you haven’t received an invitation to start the programme yet, then this is because your business area is phasing attendance. You’ll be notified locally when it is time for you to sign up.
Next steps
Head to our dedicated page on the Insider here for more information on the programme and what you’ll need to attend.
If you are CUK 7-10
- Book your workshops now via The Cove – we won’t be allocating people to sessions. If you’re required to complete elearning, this will be assigned to you via GLADIS.
- Complete all learning and workshops by March 2024. We recommend booking your workshops as soon as possible so that you have the most choice.
