It’s the big day! Today Arcadia welcomes guests back on board and sees a full return to service for the P&O Cruises fleet.
With Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth also creating unforgettable holiday happiness, and Queen Victoria in service as a guest and ships’ company support ship, Arcadia setting sail marks the moment we celebrate a full return to guest operations for Carnival UK.
Paul Ludlow, president P&O Cruises, shares his thoughts on today’s milestone moment;
As each ship has welcomed guests it’s been a moment to reflect on the achievements of everyone who has worked so tirelessly, with dedication, commitment, and energy as we’ve navigated the twists and turns of the past two years.
“Since we returned to service in June last year we’ve successfully sailed Britannia, Ventura, Azura, Aurora and now Arcadia out of operational pause, as well as the much-anticipated arrival of Iona, including her naming ceremony and maiden cruise. We’re also incredibly proud that our new processes and protocols are recognised as industry best-practice by independent auditors, Bureau Veritas. All of this is thanks to our colleagues on board and ashore.
“As Arcadia sets sail, let’s take that moment of reflection and celebrate our full fleet being back in service.”
