As we, like many other businesses around the world, have paused operations, so too have our Cunard partners. Most have had to cancel events until summer. In the interest of embracing the government advice to stay at home, we’re delighted to bring a selection of our partnerships to you…

Royal Albert Hall

Today we would have been celebrating the start of the Love Classical festival at the Royal Albert Hall, instead we will get to enjoy the magic of the Hall from the comfort of our homes.
The Royal Albert Hall has been inspiring the nation for almost 150 years, and in these extraordinary times even though with their doors closed, they continue to bring some of the world’s most talented artists directly to your home.

Staying connected and active with English National Ballet

English National Ballet’s home is currently closed, and some future performances and events have been cancelled, however they remain committed to providing entertainment, inspiration, ways to stay active and to keep celebrating the love of dance, music and storytelling.

There are online classes which include advanced/professional ballet with celebrated dancer and ENB’s Artistic Director Tamara Rojo, as well as ballet for beginners and a general movement class for those with limited mobility or space. The weekly line up is updated each Friday and further information can be found here.

The Royal Horticultural Society

Plot to Plate – RHS Hyde Hall (3rd June 2019)

The Royal Horticultural Society is the world’s leading gardening charity and a longstanding partner of Cunard and following government advice all RHS Shows, Garden Events and school visits have unfortunately been cancelled until 30 June. This includes Chatsworth Flower Show, of which Cunard has been a partner of for the past three years, however, in the meantime, the RHS have some useful tips to keep the green fingered amongst us occupied.

If you’re just getting started on your gardening pastime, the RHS have a variety of ‘how to’ guides here for getting into gardening. At a time when we’re all trying to be more self-sufficient the RHS have some handy tips on ‘growing your own’. Here are some tips on growing your own herbs – which is great for those who don’t have much or any outside space.

Each month, the RHS offers a guide on what jobs you should be focusing on in the garden for each month of the year. Check out April’s guide here.

We’ll be sharing further updates and activities from our partners over the coming weeks, but in the meantime, why not share a picture of you taking part in any of the activities mentioned? Whether that be dressing up in your formal night attire to watch the Olivier Awards special show, or completing your first ballet lesson! (Simply add a description for your photo in the comment box below – you’ll need to be signed in to do this – and upload it using the ‘choose file’ button. Then hit ‘Post Comment’.)
