Queen Elizabeth – Jake Morante, Demi Chef de Partie

Since Jake joined the Officer’s Mess team, colleagues are enjoying their meals even more! He goes above and beyond to cater for dietary requirements and takes real pride in how the dishes are presented. Greeting everyone by name, he’s always smiling and is a pleasure to be with.

Queen Victoria – Devika Rai, Senior Security Patrol

During overnight stays in Tromso and Narvik, Devika went above and beyond her duties. Due to a shortage in female security she covered several different points, always being alert and acting with the utmost professionalism. She upheld White Star Values in difficult, trying circumstances.

Queen Mary 2 – Rachael Straughan, Youth staff

Rachael witnessed a Guest accidentally reverse his mobility scooter down the Royal Court Theatre stairs, with the scooter landing on top of him. Rachel immediately helped the Guest and controlled the situation until the medical team arrived. She also returned the mobility scooter to the Guest’s stateroom. Rachel handled the whole situation calmly and professionally.


Arcadia – Belle Flor Miranda Dionio, Waitress

Receiving 14 Guest nominations in one cruise, Belle was praised for her outgoing, friendly personality and willingness to help. In particular, Belle supported a mobility Guest with their dietary requirements in the buffet. Throughout the cruise Belle helped at each food counter, and carried meals and drinks between the food and seating areas.

Aurora – the Security team

During their cold cruise to Alta and the northern cape of Norway, Aurora’s security team did a fantastic job of delivering their roles in extremely cold conditions, always smiling and being friendly to Guests and crew. Well done to the entire team!!

Azura – Kaique (Cookie) Heron, Spa Manager

Kaique was a Hero of ‘safe and well’ supporting a distressed Guest on board. Following a very serious panic attack, Kaique found the Guest distraught and comforted her, taking time to help her calm down. The Guest wrote’ “I was close to doing something stupid. Kaique found me and encouraged me to find my happy place. She was so loving and wonderful, I will remember what she did for ever.”

Oceana – Hannah Irwin, Shop Manager

During a period of reduced team members, Assistant Manager Hannah stepped up and responded admirably, assuming not only the manager’s role, but corralling colleagues while devising and subsequently executing an almost seamless positive Guest experience.

Ventura – Jude Rodrigues, Cabin Steward

Receiving 35 Guest nominations for being super smiley each time they met him, Jude’s personality lifted spirits during a particularly challenging bad weather cruise. Well done Jude!
