Insuring your personal possessions
While travelling to or from your ship, you should always be mindful of keeping your personal possessions safe. We recommend that you do not leave valuables or important documents unattended while travelling.
Unless stated in your Seafarers Employment Agreement Part B, your personal possessions are not insured whilst in transit to join or leave a ship. It is recommended that, where applicable, Seafarers obtain suitable personal possessions insurance to cover the loss of any property whilst in transit.
